Village Halls Week comes to Aldbury
Aldbury Village hall will be part of a national campaign which celebrates England’s 10,000 village halls.
Aldbury Village hall is a huge part of our community. The building was erected in memory of Richard Mountford Wood M.A., late rector of this parish by his widow and children in the year 1891. It plays host to social gatherings, fitness classes and more. Things that just wouldn’t happen in Aldbury if we didn’t have our hall and our dedicated volunteers that keep it going.”
Village Halls Week is run by national rural charity Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE) and their 38 member organisations. It takes place from Monday 20 January – Sunday 26 January.
